About Swadlincote Diesel
Swadlincote Diesel was formed in 1972 by Phil Lockwood who was an ex Merlin engineer and one of the first apprentices was the current Managing Director Shane Richins.
Following a management buyout in the early 1980’s Shane took over the company at the tender age of 18, and worked out of an old railway shed in Belmont Street, Swadlincote. Over the years the company has continued to evolve and expand so that in its present form Swadlincote diesel employs 18 members of staff.
Continued success has lead to growth and expansion within the company and the premises now cover approximately 108,000 sq feet containing workshops, parts, storage and office space.

Swadlincote Diesel is one of the largest premier Diesel Engine – Fuel Injection Specialists in the Midlands. ‘Our reputation of excellence has been acknowledged by Delphi who have appointed us ‘Delphi Service Agent and Bosch who have appointed us not only the ‘Bosch Car Service Centre’ but also the ‘Diesel Centre’.
All our workshops are equipped with the most recent technology and our highly trained, skilled technicians add expertise to our specialist knowledge and guarantee a first class service. We ensure that the highest level of expertise in Delphi, Bosch, VP, CP, Common Rail, EDC, Zexel, Stanadyne and Nippon Denso.
We recently have taken order of the Bosch EPS 708 which enables us to test and repair the latest Common Rail technology.
